About the role
Econo Foods is looking for a Festive Delivery Assistant to support drivers with customer deliveries, loading and unloading products, delivery documentation and customer service.
Key responsibilities
• Assist the driver with safe and timely product deliveries.
• Present Proof of Delivery documents and obtain customer signatures.
• Assist with invoice corrections and payment verification where required.
• Load and unload products safely.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Assist with navigation using maps or GPS.
• Record returned or damaged products and report stock discrepancies.
• Keep the vehicle cab clean.
• Safeguard stock during deliveries and overnight routes.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Support the delivery team in achieving operational goals.
Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' experience in a warehousing and logistics environment, preferably FMCG Retail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good time-management and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
