About the job
Curro Aurora is looking for a Coding and Robotics Teacher for Grades 6 and 7. This is a primary school Intermediate Phase teaching position involving teaching and coordinating subjects according to the Curro curriculum.
Responsibilities
• Plan lessons using modern teaching tools.
• Prepare workbooks.
• Measure academic progress and achievement.
• Prepare and manage term plans.
• Manage the classroom.
• Manage classroom discipline.
• Communicate with learners and parents.
• Prepare assessments.
• Conduct and moderate assessments.
• Prepare revision material.
• Manage homework.
• Participate in extracurricular activities.
• Organise outings where required.
Requirements
• BEd and/or PGCE in Intermediate Phase.
• Minimum 2 years' Intermediate Phase teaching experience.
• Knowledge of the IEB curriculum.
• Facilitation skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Report-writing skills.
• Good communication.
• Organisational and planning skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• SACE registration.
• Clear criminal record.
