RPO Recruitment's client - a leading engineering, advisory and technical services firm - is seeking a Health & Safety Commander to lead the HSE assurance function on a Solar PV project in Vanderbijlpark for an 18-month assignment. This is a high-stakes role - you'll be the guardian of safety, monitoring and enforcing EPC Contractor compliance with approved HSE plans and legislation.
YOUR HSE COMMAND DUTIES:
🔍 Daily Site Inspections
Verify EPC compliance, identify unsafe acts/conditions
📝 Permit-to-Work Systems
Working at height, excavations, LOTO, hot works
📈 Incident Management
Investigations, evidence gathering, corrective actions
🌎 Environmental Controls
Waste mgmt, dust suppression, spill prevention, noise
R300K - R500K CTC per annum · Highly competitive package
